Our Lord, Jesus Christ used parables as a tool in two major ways. To conceal the truth from those who were simply curious or hard-hearted, and the other purpose was to reveal the deep and great mysteries of the Kingdom of God to those who wanted to understand.

The parables Jesus taught are not simply individual teachings on a particular subject our Lord wanted to communicate. They are, when viewed together, a beautiful tapestry that reveals an awesome picture in a multifaceted way of the nature of the Kingdom, the King of the Kingdom and the character of the subjects of the Kingdom of God.
